What makes JASPER Turbochargers a better value and choice for your replacement needs? JASPER has been remanufacturing Diesel Engines since 1969 (and gas engines since 1942). We understand the precision and processes that are necessary to remanufacture a quality component that will meet or exceed your expectations. For example, turbo housings undergo an oven-baked process to remove carbon deposits and debris that, if not thoroughly removed, can result in early component failure. JASPER maintains a precise surface finish of 35 RA or better on turbo bearing housing journals in order to assure smooth operation. Turbos also receive all new bearings, rings and thrust collars, and all qualified parts are thoroughly inspected to ensure correct tolerances. A core balancer and state of the art component balancer are used in the remanufacturing process of every turbocharger. These processes provide exact component balance in order to assure optimum turbocharger performance and life.
JASPER’s Diesel Fuel and Air Component Division also performs steps that are required for specific turbos and applications. For instance, the pedestal assemblies of 7.3 Powerstroke (Garrett) turbos are tested for leaks as well as proper function and 6.0 and 6.6 Duramax (Garrett) turbos are equipped with a new VGT solenoid.
