JASPER’s production of the GM 2.2L engine for the United States Postal Service (USPS) recently transitioned from the Wernsing Road facility (Jasper HQ) to Willow Springs, Missouri. Associates of Gas POD 20 took the opportunity on April 7th to take a group picture with their last 2.2L USPS engine produced.
JASPER has maintained a National Contractor status, or National Ordering Agreement (NOA), with USPS since 2000. Prior to the NOA, many USPS Vehicle Maintenance Facilities (VMF’s) were purchasing products from JASPER through local or regional agreements.
From 1/1/2006 to 4/6/2021, JASPER sold 23,195 2.2L engines to the USPS. Special thanks to National Accounts Manager, Kevin Smith, for finding this information.
