Every year, JASPER remanufactures over 6,500 diesel engines of all sizes and makes, from on-highway to off-road and industrial.

JASPER diesel engines are assembled by skilled technicians, continuously trained to be on the cutting edge of remanufacturing technology.

• All remanufactured components are thoroughly cleaned and meticulously inspected.
• Diesel engines are remaufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications, and reengineered to correct inherent design flaws.
• All diesel blocks are align honed to correct block twist and warpage.
• Blocks are torque-plate honed, if applicable, to prevent cylinder head distortion when the head is torqued to the block.
• All diesel valve seats are machined with a three-angle cut to ensure proper valve-to-seat contact.
• Fuel components for running complete format diesel engines are remanufactured  in a climate-controlled environment. Pumps, turbos, and injectors are tested and accurately calibrated with computer-aided equipment for consistent quality and performance.

Examples of Added Valve Through Continuous Improvement

• Running Complete format Ford 6.7L Scorpion engines include an updated Bosch CP4 fuel pump with carbon coated tappets to reduce wear and increase pump life.
• JASPER 100% installs Inconel exhaust valves on all Cummins 6.7L engines, which sustain higher operating temperatures, improving longevity.
• All International 6.0L rod pin bushings are 100% burnished with custom-designed tooling to prevent the bushing from spinning out of the rod bore.
• Duramax crankshafts are polished to an Ra finish of 10 or less, to maintain nitride hardness, ensuring longer life and preventing breakage.
• International DT466 engines receive double-thick tappet guides. Standard guides have been known to break, causing lifter movement and cam failure.

Diesel Testing Processes

Complete Formats: Every Complete diesel engine is inspected for leaks and spin tested to ensure proper compression. As Complete engines are tested, compression values for each individual cylinder are measured, recorded, and analyzed to provide the best quality product. JASPER has a wide variety of remanufactured Complete format diesel engines to fit your needs.

Running Complete Formats: Every Running Complete diesel engine is live-run dynamometer tested to ensure trouble-free engine performance. Engines are tested under varying loads to simulate in-the-vehicle operation. The test is concluded with a final engine run-in, and inspection, to verify peak performance and operating efficiency.
