The 62TE transmission family is prone to issues that include: loss of 3rd or 6th gear, pump cross leaks, cooler system contamination/failure, high bearing failure rate, cracked/leaking front cover bolt holes, burning of torque converter lining and TCC slip codes, solenoid failure/line pressure codes, cracked lock-up piston, lock-up failure, and vibration/noise.
Each converter is dynamically balanced. The external converter shell is balanced independently of the converter stator and turbine to ensure the converter is accurately balanced.

JASPER prevents loss of the 3rd and 6th gear by installing an improved snap ring in the case. JASPER’s snap ring is 27% greater in radial thickness which significantly increases the retaining force, ensuring the snap ring remains engaged.
JASPER prevents hydraulic leaks between the Underdrive, Overdrive, and Reverse clutch by installing solid PTFE stator support seals. PTFE seals are superior to OE metal seals in separating these hydraulic circuits.

JASPER remanufactures the solenoid pack and replaces all seals with NEW seals. It is then tested on a state-of-the-art test machine prior to installation to assure proper operation.
JASPER installs a NEW heavy-duty billet lock-up piston for the 2011- 2017 3.6L FWD & AWD, and 2014-2018 3.6L Promaster.
100% NEW TCC lock-up solenoid.
Each converter is dynamically balanced. The external converter shell is balanced independently of the converter stator and turbine to ensure the converter is accurately balanced.
JASPER updates both the 2-4 and OD clutch with 5 plates instead of the original 4 plate clutch, providing a 20% increase in clutch torque capacity.
All bushing and thrust surfaces are finished to 15 RA or less to prevent premature bushing or washer failure.
Transmission is tested with a controlled volume of fluid before the valve body is installed to test for minor circuit leaks that can lead to performance problems.
Case, valve body, and pump assembly are checked for flatness to ensure there are no cross leaks that can cause low pressure, binding, and unit failure.
Each solenoid pack and range sensor is tested to ensure proper function.

JASPER remanufactures each solenoid pack and each solenoid receives NEW seals. The solenoids are qualified using JASPER-designed test equipment that simulates vehicle operation. The range switch is also tested to ensure proper function.

Prior to installing the valve body, all clutches are hydraulically tested to detect leaks within each respective clutch circuit. This process helps reduce the likelihood of clutch failure.
All critical hydraulic sealing areas in the pump, valve body, and case are checked for flatness to ensure that hydraulic leaks do not cause premature failures.
Each JASPER Transmission undergoes dynamometer testing to ensure proper gear
ratios, line pressure, cooler pressure, and cooler flow.
